Happiness and flourishing of a person became prior values of many developed democratic societies around the globe. However, on February, 24, 2022 invasion of russia to the territory of Ukraine, one of the sovereign European countries, threated not only the happiness-oriented vector of the global democratic development but also undermined the foundation of the global security system. Philosophical questions on the correlation between the good life, happiness, morality, authenticity and freedom are acute as never before.

During war people’s mental health requires a special attention. The efforts of the international scientific community should be integrated for providing people with instruments and techniques to cope with traumatic experience and stress and to maintain their mental health and happiness during the time of crisis.

The aim of our conference is to create in Lviv (Ukraine) the international platform for interdisciplinary discussion on happiness in terms of democracy strengthening and civil society forming.

The main task of our conference is to unite efforts of researchers in philosophy, psychology, neuroscience, biochemistry, biology, sociology, political science, history, economics, medicine, pedagogics and anthropology in order to provide a complex integral research on happiness and to apply results to social, political, economic and educational practice.

Suggested areas for discussion: 1. Contemporary philosophy of happiness. 2. Positive psychology. 3. Happiness and neuroscience. 4. Happiness, healthcare and medicine. 5. Happiness and economic development. 6. Happiness and education system. 7. Happiness, civil society, law and state management. 8. Happiness, history and culture.
